A new corona treatment centre will be established at Chennimalai as more persons were affected with corona infection in 1010 weavers colony, Chennimalai, said Information Minister MP Swaminathan.
He said all out efforts are on to check spreading of corona virus. He along with Housing Minister S Muthusamy and Collector C Kathiravan inspected P Kasipalayam primary health centre, Kongu Matric School, etc at Chennimalai in connection with corona prevention works.
Following this, Muthusamy told pressmen that 3000 beds have been prepared in the colleges and schools in the Erode district for corona treatment and 1000 beds have been set up in the Government Erode Medical College Hospital at Perundurai and 250 beds in the Erode Government General Hospital.
Corona affected persons of any part of the district can get treatment there.The 3,000 beds prepared for those who do not have the opportunity to be isolated at home and who do not need oxygen.
Now, 950 beds are filled up. All the basic facilities are ready there. The problem of vaccine shortage would soon be settled. A person sought permission to establish Siddha hospital and his plea would be considered, he added.
