NCC cadets in Coimbatore carry out ‘Clean India’ mission

Commander Colonel Chandra Sekhar on behalf of the 2 Tamil Nadu BTY National Cadet Corps in Coimbatore District engaged in the task of cleaning the roads under the ‘Clean India’ programme.

The National Cadet Corps cadets carried out cleaning work in areas within a 2 km radius of the Coimbatore Sungam Bypass Road and collected garbage weighing about 1000 kg.

The event was attended by about 150 National Cadet Corps cadets from Government Arts College, PSG College of Arts, Bishop Appasamy College of Arts, Rathinam College of Arts, St. Anthony’s High School, Puliyakulam, Berks Higher Secondary School and Venkatalakshmi Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore.

NCC Officers Sudhakar, Albert Alexander and Ragini and Army officers Subedar Gulwant Singh, Naik Subedar Shakthi, Havildar Jose, Vivekanandan and Sagar led the students.
