MP’s plea to use all doctors of GEMCH to attend corona cases

Tiruppur MP K Subbarayan appealed to the Health Secretary to give a direction to use all doctors of Government Erode Medical College Hospital (GEMCH) Perundurai, for corona treatment.

In a letter, he said that last year, the hospital was declared as full-fledged corona treatment hospital and the doctors treated corona patients well.

This year too, the District Collector has announced through televisions and newspapers that the GEMCH will function as a full-fledged covid19 hospital.

But, it seemed that the doctors were forced to attend both outpatients and inpatients (Covid & Non Covid). It shows that physicians are working without being able to focus properly on both.

But, all over TN, All Medical College Hospitals, District General Hospitals, Government Hospitals, all Clinical & Non Clinical Medicine doctors are involved in corona field work.

However, none of the Non Clinic doctors at the GEMCH are involved in corona field work. Also, the corona job is not offered to those in the clinical department, who were close to the principal.

It can be verified by looking at the live Roaster Duty list.

Therefore, all practicing physicians should be engaged to attend corona work.

There are complaints that the heads of the Department of Surgery, Pulmonology and General Medicine Department are always sitting around the principal of the college.

Therefore, it seems that other physicians and paramedics are not able to tell their grievances to the principal in person.

There have been complaints that the head of the Department of General Medicine signs in the morning and leaves. No one can ask him anything.

Therefore, I request you to pay direct attention to the above complaints and take appropriate action, he pleaded.
