MNM’s Dr Mahendran files his nomination in Singanallur

Dr Mahendran, the Vice-president of Makkal Needhi Maiyam (MNM), has filed his nomination for the Singanallur constituency in Coimbatore on Monday.

Dr Mahendran, the party’s vice-president, is contesting from the Coimbatore Singanallur assembly constituency on behalf of MNM. In this regard, Mahendran filed his nomination papers with the Returning Officer Ramkumar at the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Office (East Zone) in Singanallur.

Following this, Mahendran told reporters that MNM chief Kamal Haasan will file his nomination in the South constituency of Coimbatore at 2 p.m. He said the constituency-wise election report would be released this weekend and MNM was given a special welcome in the Kongu region.

He further said that the people of Coimbatore South and Singanallur constituencies have a warm welcome to them and no one has done anything despite the alternating popular votes. He said that he would be a candidate for change and people would not be deceived by AIADMK’s freebies.
