Actor Kamal Hasan, president of Makkal Neethi Maiyam (MNM) has released the election manifesto of the party on Friday in Coimbatore.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Hasan said, “Our election manifesto does not intend to cover up the mistakes made during the regime rather it is an election statement issued with foresight. This election statement is a classic statement. Tamil Nadu will move forward only if good plans are implemented”. The freebies are not something that the political parties give the people.
It just means that you are buying a washing machine at a higher price. The bill for this will come right on your burden”. He assured that Rs 5 lakh 60 thousand crores of debt will be set right in Tamil Nadu. He further added, “The transport sector will be taken on the path of development. Either way, the transport staff will be made partners.
They say I give Rs.1000 and Rs.1500 to homemakers. How is this possible? We will identify their talents and promote them and arrange for them to earn up to Rs 15,000 per month. This is a unique election statement. People’s Canteen will be opened. It will cater to the needs of the people at a reasonable price. This and Amma Canteens are not the same”. He then went on to say that agricultural products should be valued, converted into commodities and exported to increase income.
“Our goal is to have mono and metro rail projects in all districts across Tamil Nadu. Metro trains will run in major cities across Tamil Nadu. The capital city alone is prosperous right now. All districts should prosper. Smart City is all about putting it on the boards and not implementing it. There is no full plan for Coimbatore yet.
Not all over Tamil Nadu indeed”. “Unorganized workers will be brought into an organization. As far as the IT raid in the MNM Treasurer’s house is concerned, it is a charge against an individual. Just because he belongs to MNM, the values are exaggerated”., he said while he assured that the LokAyukta will be strengthened.
He then said that a situation has been created in Coimbatore making it look like a vulnerable city and that it has to be changed. Ponraj, the party’s vice-president, commented on the election manifesto. He said: “This is an election statement that can take the path of growth from tax revenue. This is a report that can move forward in agriculture and industrial development.
50 lakh people will be provided with immediate employment. This election statement is a vision for 10 years. It is a manifesto that focuses on building prosperity by poverty alleviation”. He also assured that the Per capita income will be doubled. “Average annual income will be increased from Rs 7 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs.
The monthly income will be increased to Rs 60,000 where it is Rs 15 thousand at present. Nowhere in the NEET Act, it is mentioned that it is required to conduct the examination only in the CBSE syllabus. The Tamil Nadu government does not know this. NEET will be conducted as long as the BJP is there. So we will make sure that the exam will be conducted in our state syllabus.
The State Entrance Examination will be conducted instead of the NEET Examination. Social justice is for everyone. Our goal is to raise the quality of education for all. Teachers will be given a dress code and will not be involved in any other work. All government schools will be upgraded. He further said that there is no employment for the educated and hence more employment opportunities will be created. MNM Vice President Mahendran and several executives were also present during the event.
