Local Administration Minister SP Velumani attended boomi poojas in various places of Coimbatore Corporation on Thursday in order to inaugurate Rs 9.10 crore worth development works. He said that the CM Edapadi K Palaniswamy was initiation various development works to make the state self-sufficient.
In the Coimbatore, smart city, improvised roads, overbridges, Vellalore integrated central bus stand, Athikadavu-Avinasi projects etc were going on for the past 5 years which were not seen for the past 50 years. The development works include road laying works at Rayappa Nagar, Paripoorna Estate, Saraswathi Nagar, Housing Unit S, D, U blocks, Anbu, Arul, Pon Vizha, Azad, Cheran Nagars, Kumaran Garden, PK Pudhur, Muthusamy Servai Veedhi, Ashokkumar Nagar areas.
Other works include children’s park, sewage and drainages, borewells, water supply in 86th and 90th divisions. Corporation commissioner Sravan Kumar, deputy commissioner Prasanna Ramasamy, assistant commissioner Ravi, city executive engineer Lakshmanan, assistant executive engineer Gnanavel and many officials attended the function.
