Man held for trying to cheat farmer

Bangalapudhur police have arrested a man who tried to extort money from a farmer from Dharmapuri district at Kempanayakkanpalayam near Gobichettipalayam.

A farmer Ramachandran (29) hails from the Thirumalaivadi area of ​​Palakod in Dharmapuri district.

On Tuesday, Krishnan from the same area went to his house and told him that Ganesan from KN Palayam near Sathyamangalam in Erode district had a magic vessel and asked him to buy it.
Interested in this, Ramachandran went in his car with his friends Muniratnam, Senarayan and Shivaji to see the magic vessel.
When Ganesan saw the vessel, Ganesan demanded Rs. 1.50 lakh to get it. Ramachandran is not satisfied with this and has tried to leave the spot.
So, Ganesan got angry and took his car and drove fast, threatening to kill him if he did not buy the vessel.

Frightened by this, Ramachandran drove his car fast and hid near the Bannariyamman temple near Sathyamangalam.
Following this, Ramachandran went to the Banglapudhur police station and lodged a complaint regarding the incident.

Police, who registered a case on the complaint, arrested Ganesan near Attigoundanputhur.

They confiscated the vessel and car used to cheat him. Further inquiry is on.
