With a mission to strengthen the fight against COVID-19, Malabar Gold &Diamonds, the leading jewelry retailer with a global retail network of over 260 outlets spread across 10 countries, has decided to contribute 1,00,000 free Covid-19 vaccines.
The vaccines will be administered for inoculating people who are vulnerable to the disease with limited access to the vaccine apart from jewelry artisans, employees, investors and their dependents.
This initiative is part of a series of CSR initiatives Malabar Gold & Diamonds have been working on during the COVID-19 pandemic, following the Government’s decision to intensify the vaccination drive. “We will use our services and infrastructure to reach out to and vaccinate those who are most vulnerable to the disease.
This includes the elderly and those with chronic illnesses who will be identified through charitable associations and likeminded organizations.
We have earmarked Rs.8 crore for the vaccination drive”, said Mr. M P Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group.
He also said that the Malabar Group would do everything within its capability to safeguard and protect its team members, partner networks and society at large.
