KMDK has announced candidates for 3 seats that it got from DMK in the UPA.
The candidates are:Thiruchengodu-party state general secretary ER Eswaran, Perundurai -treasurer KKC Balu, and Soolur-Coimbatore east district secretary Premier Selvam.
Announcing this to newsmen at Erode on Friday, he said that ”there is no grouse among party cadres over allotment of just 3 seats to the party by DMK after the governing council of the party met at chennai and accepted the seats, though it sought more seats initially.”
In response to various questions, he said that the party’s major poll assurances were included in the DMK poll manifesto so that his party would not release a manifesto separately.
The CM announced Rs 1500 and 6 LPG cylinders to each home maker only after DMK chief announced Rs 1000 to them.
So, people did not believe CM’s words and they believed DMK chief would come to power and give Rs 1000 to them definitely.
Similarly, waiver of farm, jewel, SHG loan did not make any impact among people as it was done only with an eye on election.
People ask why such waiver was not announced one year back.
The Athikadavu Avinasi scheme did not help the ruling party to get votes in LS poll itself so that it wouldn’t help ADMK much in the present poll, he observed.
Now only, many women were joining the party.
So, in future, women candidates would be announced for MLA and MP seats, he added.
