“Opinions are being forced in the name of opinion polls”, says Kamal Hasan.
Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) president Kamal Hasan released the election manifesto of the party for the Singanallur constituency at a private hotel in Singanallur, Coimbatore.
Exclusive mobile applications will be designed for the people to directly negotiate with the MLA, industrial parks will be established in favour of small and micro businesses and a government hospital in Singanallur was promised in the manifesto.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Hasan said, “The politics before 1947 was about the country whereas the present-day politics is full of cunningness. Politics is not a profession rather it is my passion”.
He also said that his electoral strategy is his honesty and added that he asks for a chance to show his individual talent. When asked about the clash that happened during the BJP rally, he replied that answering that question would bring down his standard. He added that people would give a reply to that. “India as a country created by the accumulation of various small territories.
If we consider those “smaller entities” as an insult, it is an insult then. A small drop also is a minute one”, he said. When asked about BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan’s comment that Kamal Hasan does lip service, he said, “They have thus proved their standard by passing such comments”.
