Those who want to attend the mega job fair to be held at the Government aided Gobi Arts College on Feb 6 should register their details in the government portal- www.tnprivatejobs.tn.gov.in, said Kovai region Joint director of employment and training Latha.
She also advised them to bring their aadhar cards and copies of their educational certificate to the job fair in placement in private firms to register their names in the firstname.lastname@example.org, created by the CM recently.
Of 42000 vacant posts mentioned in the portal by private firms last year, 17000 were filled up. So, the candidates can register their names in it now itself to get required jobs.
Besides, the mela would also help the candidates who are interested to attend TNPSC, UPSC and other competitive exams to get government jobs through the district employment exchange.
As firms from abroad would also attend, those who want jobs abroad can attend the mela.
The officials of 9 district employment exchanges of Kovai region from Kovai to Krishnagiri districts would assist the candidates in the mela Besides, 200 college students would be deputed to help them.
The skill development corporation would give 3-6 month short term training programme also to the needy by registering their names in the mela to help them start new units.
It would also give training to the entrepreneurs after starting their units. So, those who want to become employers can also attend the mela.
She said that it is expected that 200 firms within the nation and abroad would attend it to fill up over 20000 vacancies which require education qualification from 8th to BE, ME, PG or PhD level.
Even students can attend it to get exposure of the trend in job market and requirement of job providers.
To say simply, it would bridge the gap between job seekers and job providers.
There would be no fee to attend the mela, she said.
