Various competitions on the theme, “Future of Science and Technology Innovation:Impacts on Education Skill and Work,” were held as part of the National Science Day on February 26, 2021 at Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore.
A total of two hundred eighty registrations were recorded for the comptetion and the best were selected as prize winners.
Innovative products like low cost blue tooth controlled harvesting robot, eco enzymes, pro biotic supplements and plastic degrading mushrooms, food sanitizer, automatic water level controller and multilevel car parking, herbal drink, mosquito repellents, wound healing bandages were displayed drew appreciation from the Chief Guest and the Chancellor who gave away prizes.
Dr. A.Vijayalakshmi, Dean, School of Biosciences, proposed the vote of thanks.
The Chancellor Dr. S.P. Thyagarajan,announced that the best scientist award for the students will be initiated from the next year to recognize ideas presented in the innovation bazar to showcase their creativity.
The programme started with the welcome address of Dr. Mrs. K.Udaya Chandrika, Dean of School of Physical and Computational Sciences.
The Chancellor presided over the function.
