Six startups have been provided with a grant of Rs.7 lakh product development support, mentoring by a team of domain experts and business consultants under technology business incubator Gyan Circle Ventures (Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development at IIITs) of IIIT Sri City.
IIIT Sri city has been selected as a Group 2 Center (G2C) under the TIDE 2.0 scheme of MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) program with initial funding for five years.
The G2C shall assist aspiring entrepreneurs and students to build innovative startups.
A total of 30 qualified applicants with innovative ideas demonstrated through Proof of Concept (PoC).
The selected Six startups are leveraging emerging technologies to develop solutions in areas including healthcare, energy, environment, and agriculture.
Each of these startups is provided with a grant of Rs.7 lakh product development support, mentoring by a team of domain experts and business consultants.
The Startups shall have the benefit of interacting with 200 companies located in Sri City said Dr.G.Kannabiran, Director of IIIT Sri City.M.Balasubramaniam, Chairman, Board of Governors of IIIT Sri City handed over the grant to the startups at a function.
