The vaccination centre which was functioning at Coimbatore Government Hospital has been shifted to Government College of Arts and Sciences.
Corona vaccination has intensified across the country as the second wave of the corona has begun to sweep across India. The vaccination centre was on Friday shifted to the Coimbatore Government College of Arts and Sciences to avoid overcrowding as it was earlier functioning at the Coimbatore Government Hospital.
The hospital has announced that the vaccination centre will function at the new venue from today and the vaccine will not be given at the Coimbatore GH in the coming days. Only the second phase of vaccination was given today on the first day. The public came and accessed their jabs with interest.
As a precautionary measure, beds have been set up for those who have been vaccinated to rest, oxygen facilities for those in need, and tables to sit outside.
