Former Vice president of Tamil Manila Congress(TMC) Kovai Thangam has criticized Minister S P Velumani for not giving him the Valparai constituency and accuses the Minister of Corruption.
With the Valparai constituency not allotted to TMC, the disgruntled party-state vice-president met reporters at the Hotel RHR opposite the Coimbatore Railway Station. TMC, which is in the AIADMK alliance, wanted to get the Valparai assembly constituency.
However, the AIADMK announced that Amul Kandasamy would contest. Kovai Thangam, who met reporters in this situation, blamed SP Velumani for not giving him the Valparai constituency. Moreover, he also criticized Velumani as the “Minister of Corruption”.
Answering the question of whether there is a chance to contest independently, he replied that the decision would be taken after consulting with the people of Valparai. It is significant that he has announced his decision to relinquish all responsibilities of the Tamil Manila Congress.
