Erode Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Enforcement) D. Balathandayutham has said that private and public sector companies should declare paid holiday on April 6, when the Assembly poll will be held.
In a press release, he said that Tamil Nadu Assembly poll will take place on April 6.
A public holiday has been declared on that day. In order to ensure 100 per cent turnout, all employees must be given paid leave on that day.
In Erode district all employees working in factories, shops, commercial establishments, food establishments, motor transport companies, public and private companies, beedi, cigar companies, information technology companies, including casual laborers, temporary and contract workers should be given one day paid leave.
