Earthenware sales increase owing to the scorching heat

The weather in Tamil Nadu has been cold for the past one month due to continuous rains. In this case, the impact of the hot sun is increasing heavily.

Apparently, the earthenware pottery produced by pottery workers has come up for sale in the Kinathukadavu area of Coimbatore district to quench the thirst of the scorching sun.

A variety of earthenware made by pottery workers is for sale on the ground opposite the new bus stand at Kinathukadavu. Prices range from 50 rupees to 500 rupees. While drinking refrigerated water does not quench the thirst, the pottery workers say that the only way to quench the thirst from the scorching sun is by drinking water that is stored in the earthenware.

Pottery workers say that the sales of pots were a bit sluggish so far as everyone has refrigerators in their houses.
