Director KV Anand passes away at 54

Veteran director K V Anand passed away in Chennai on Friday following a cardiac arrest. He was 54.

According to reports, he drove himself to a private hospital in Chennai after suffering chest pain. He then breathed his last at 3 am. K V Anand started his career as a photographer in magazines and won a National Award for his first film as a cinematographer.

K V Anand, who made his directorial debut with Kana Kanden, has directed many successful films including Ayan, Ko, Maatraan, Anegan, Kavan and Kappan. Celebrities including Harris Jeyaraj, Kushbu, Gautham Karthik, Raadhika Sarathkumar and many others took to Twitter to mourn the loss.
