The Delhi government on Tuesday allowed the sale of liquor in the city through mobile application or website in order to avoid heavy crowding at the wine and beer shops across the city.
According to reports, home delivery of Indian and foreign liquor is permitted in Delhi city through mobile applications. “The licensee shall make delivery of liquor at the residences only if the order is received through mobile app or online web portal and no delivery shall be made to any hostel, office and institution,” the Delhi Government said in a notification.
However, this does not mean liquor shops across Delhi will be allowed to deliver alcohol. Only sellers with the L-13 license will be allowed to start home delivery of liquor in Delhi.
