With the increasing number of corona cases in the nation, threatening the life of many, Erode District Congress Minorities Wing arranged an all religious prayer for the welfare of the people including former TNCC president EVKS Elangovan who was admitted to a hospital at Chennai for corona infection, at the party office.
It was organized by the wing president J Suresh and vice president KN Basha who appealed to the state government to place orders to procure more vaccines from the vaccine producing firms now itself on the line of other states and give it to people free of cost immediately.
At present, vaccine shortage was prevailing in many areas and even now 90 per cent of persons above 45 years of age did not get even one dose of vaccine.
So, to meet the growing demand and also to vaccinate persons above 18 years of age from May 1 now itself more vaccines should be procured.
As the vaccine cost is increased in private hospitals, the CM Edapadi Palaniswami, as assured already, should give the vaccine free of cost to all, they pleaded.
