Collector C. Kathiravan slapped a fine of Rs 5000 each on 13 shops and Rs 200 each on 70 persons for violating corona safety norms.
He visited many areas of Erode and Gobi bus stand and vegetable market to supervise enforcement of corona prevention norm.
He said that under the National Disaster Management Act, curfew order comes into force with various relaxations to prevent corona virus infection.
Accordingly, corona virus prevention measures are being carried out on a warfooting manner by the district administration.
Body temperature testing of workers and customers in factories, shopping malls, private companies, offices and restaurants should be done before allowing them to enter.
Those who do not wear masks should not be allowed.
Therefore, the public must wear masks when going out and in public places.
The public should wash their hands frequently with soap and water at home and at work spots, adhere to the social space norms, extend full cooperation to all security measures of the state and avert unnecessary travels.
The shopkeepers should not sell anything to customers who do not wear a mask.
The owner of the company will be fined up to Rs 5,000 and the company will be sealed and severe action will be taken if they do not follow the norms.
Persons who do not wear face mask in public places will be fined Rs 200.
