Coimbatore Collector GS Sameeran has fulfilled 30 years of demand of Puthipathi Rural Hill Tribals of Mavuthampathy Panchayat within two weeks by ordering officials to give house site pattas to 15 tribals there . According to a press release issued by him, the Government of Tamil Nadu has been taking various measures to address the grievances of the people.
Accordingly, various special camps are being conducted in the Coimbatore district to address the immediate demands of the public.
In this context, on 27.06.2021, a direct field survey was carried out in the controlled areas of Mavuthampathy.of Madukkarai taluk.
The hill people settled in the Puthipathi area for the past 30 years and 45 families there have built houses in areas classified as Puthipathi Natham. Of these, 30 families have already been issued pattas.
The remaining 15 families sought pattas for many years.
Following this, the Collector directed the officials to take prompt action to issue the Pattas and distributed it on July 12.
In addition, the Block Development Officers have been instructed to build houses free of cost through the District Rural Development Agency for them.
