April 14 marks the birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar. This year happens to be the 130th birth anniversary of Ambedkar, who is hailed as the father of the Indian Constitution.
Predominantly known as Babasaheb, the social reformer has been known for his staunch struggle against caste discrimination in India. Various parties and organisations across the country are paying homage to his idol and photograph.
As part of it, Coimbatore District Collector Nagaraj paid homage to Ambedkar at the District Collector’s Office by paying floral tributes for Ambedkar’s photo. Accompanying him were several government officials, including Revenue Officer Ramathurai Murugan, who also paid floral tributes.
