Coimbatore District Chief Education Officer(CEO) Usha has been transferred to Thanjavur following a bribery charge. Usha was appointed as the Coimbatore District CEO in February last year.
Various allegations have been levelled against her since she joined the service, especially in connection with bribing money in return for the renewal of accreditation from private schools. Based on this, the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials raided the CEO office and One lakh rupees unaccounted for was seized during the raid.
An investigation was carried out in this regard. In this situation, CEO Usha has been transferred. She has been transferred on the recommendation of an accredited Investigation Agency regarding the bribery complaint.
Ramakrishnan has been appointed as the new CEO of Coimbatore District. Chief Secretary to the Government Dheeraj Kumar has ordered them to take charge immediately.
