CM to consider scribes’ demands: Minister

The CM MK Stalin will consider all grievances of journalists and take suitable action shortly as he himself is a journalist and knew all problems of journalists, said Tamil Nadu Information and Publicity Minister MP Saminathan.
Participating in the Pongal Vizha of the Erode District Journalists’ Welfare Association and distributing Pongal gifts t to journalists, he said as assured journalists welfare board was cinstituted by the government and the benefits under the board would be given with constituting a monitoring committee comprising some senior journalists. Regarding ID cards, pension to all journalists, government benefits to journalists working in taluk headquarters on par with those working in district capitals, he said ”the DMK has implemented various schemes for journalists welfare since the government took over. Our Chief Minister MK Stalin is aware of the grievances of journalists. All your requests will be brought to the attention of the Chief and action will be taken to fulfill them,” he added. Former Minister Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan, MPs Anthiyur Selvaraj, Ganesamurthy, association president Ramesh, secretary Jeeva Thangavel and treasurer Ravi spoke.
