Coimbatore Auto driver appreciated for returning gold chain

An auto driver was appreciated for returning the gold chain that a passenger missed in Coimbatore. Ramesh is an auto driver from Madukkarai, Coimbatore district and is also serving as a Home Guard in Madukkarai.

On Tuesday morning, he picked up 3 passengers travelling from Coimbatore railway station to different places in his auto and dropped them off at their destinations. As he sat in the auto to rest after dropping all the passengers, he saw a two-and-a-half sovereign gold chain (with a Christian religious symbol). He knew that one of the passengers might have missed it.

He then handed the gold chain to the police. During the police investigation, it was revealed that it was Rani Priscilla from Chetti Veethi who was travelling in Ramesh’s auto and had missed the gold chain.

After proper investigation, the gold chain was handed over to Rani Priscilla by the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police (SP) Arularasu. The SP also presented a certificate to Ramesh praising him for his good deeds.
