Will a victory for EPS be a win for AIADMK & BJP...?

Legally, the infighting in the AIADMK is almost over. Edappadi Palaniswami has somehow won this long conflict. Edappadi Palaniswami won easily because of the support of party executives, general council members, former ministers and MLAs.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the AIADMK General Council meeting held on July 11, 2022 will go in favor of Edappadi Palaniswami in the case regarding the legitimacy of the meeting. Accordingly, Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS) has been selected as the interim general secretary. The Edappadi Palaniswami's faction got the double leaf symbol in the Erode East elections.

Subsequently, O.Pannerselvam's (OPS) team executives jumped to the EPS team in droves. All this caused a great setback for him. OPS has said that he will meet Sasikala and T T V Dinakaran without any other option.
In this context, it has been announced that the election for the post of AIADMK General Secretary will be held on March 26. Edappadi Palaniswami filed his nomination today. Regarding the AIADMK general secretary election, OPS faction co-coordinator and former minister Vaithilingam said, "AIADMK general secretary election notification is invalid according to law.

 They gave the membership card without giving the applications to anyone. Edappadi Palaniswami is running a political scam. We will prove that we are the AIADMK among the people,” he said. However, Edappadi Palaniswami is sure to win unanimously as General Secretary in the elections to be held on 26th. Even though Edappadi Palaniswami is not a mass leader like MGR and Jayalalitha, there is no obstacle for him to become General Secretary.

 No change is likely to happen in the prospect of him becoming the General Secretary. AIADMK is going to come under his complete control. This is what everyone has been waiting for. The AIADMK suffered a crushing defeat in the Erode East constituency, which claims Kongu region as their stronghold despite BJP being in the alliance with the double leaf symbol. The party's vote bank has seen a decline.

If this is the case here, it is predicted that the influence of Edappadi Palaniswami in the southern districts is very little. Edappadi Palaniswami is listed as having faced 8 defeats for AIADMK from 2017 RK Nagar by-election to 2023 Erode East constituency election.

In this situation, the conflict between AIADMK and BJP alliance is getting worse. Annamalai had dropped the bombshell that he would resign from the post of president if there was an alliance with the AIADMK. Looking at all this, what will the future of AIADMK look like? It is predicted by many.

It is said that Edappadi Palaniswami's victory was due to his complete control of AIADMK. But can Edappadi Palaniswami bring AIADMK back to power? Even if Edappadi Palaniswami's general secretary dream comes true, it is the voters of Tamil Nadu who will determine the title of AIADMK and BJP.
