SBI will pay special attention to the welfare of tea producers, labourers

Chief General Manager of State Bank of India R.Radhakrishna said that the bank would pay special attention for the growth of tea producers and the estate labourers.
While speaking at a meeting organized by the bank for farmers, tea producers and developers at a private hall in Coonoor, R.Radhakrishna said,  “The bank, which is one of the leading banks in the country, has secured the 50th place in the list of banks across the world.

The bank, on an average, makes a profit of Rs 14,000 crore and works with a service motive. The bank specifically offers life insurance schemes for farmers and tea estate workers.”

The bank, he said, also offers life insurance for industries and not just for individuals. 
“The bank should pay special attention to the welfare of tea producers and its labourers. In our country, a bank’s growth denotes the societies’ growth,” he added.

Tea Board Executive Director Dr.M.Muthukumar IAS, Assistant Director Selvam, advisor of tea manufacturing companies Bharathiraja, UPASI Assistant Director Udhayabanu, General Manager of SBI Neerajkumar Pand,Deputy General Manager of Coimbatore Module Dileep Singh Yadav and others participated in the meeting.
