Plea to restore Senior Citizens concession in Trains

A plea was made by Congress functionaries to the Southern Railway General Manager BG Mallya, who came to inspect Erode Railway Station on Wednesday evening, to restore the train fare concession given to senior citizens, which were concelled during Corona pandemic period. 

They led by KN Basha, MM Harshad, and VK Senthilraja, demanded construction of a new fifth platform at Erode to meet the growing train traffic and passengers, change in the departure time of Yercaud express at Erode from 9 pm to 10 pm as the train reches Chennai at the odd hour of 3.45 am, halting of the train at Ambur and Vaniyampadi railway stations, halting of Coimbatore-Nagercoil Express at Sathur and restoration of passenger train fare in Passenger trains instead of Express train fares. In this event, the functionaries Arvindraj, Advocate C. Bhaskarraj,  I. Kanagaraj, A. Kodumudi Jayaraman of Anbazagan participated.
