Maintenance work to be carried out on railway lines between CBE and Podanur jn

The Salem division of Southern railways have announced changes in the train services due to the ongoing engineering works that have been carried out on railway tracks between Coimbatore junction and Podanur railway station.

A statement said, Palakkad town to Coimbatore train which is scheduled to leave Palakkad at 7:20 am and reach Coimbatore at 9 am, Shoranur to Coimbatore train which is scheduled to leave Shoranur at 8:20 am and reach Coimbatore at 11:10 am and Madurai to Coimbatore train which is scheduled to leave Madurai at 7:20 am and reach Coimbatore at 12:15 pm would be short terminated at Podanur junction from June 1 to 20.

Similarly, Coimbatore to Kannur train which is scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 2:20 pm, would leave from Podanur junction at 2:34 pm, Coimbatore to Shoranur train, which is scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 4:30 pm, would leave from Podanur at 4:41 pm, and Coimbatore to Palakkad town train, which is scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 6 pm, would leave Podanur at 6:12 pm. These trains would not run between Coimbatore and Podanur between June 1 and 20.
