Jamabandhi begins in 10 Taluks

Jamabandhi began  in 10 taluks in Erode district on Tuesday.
Jamabandhi, also known as village account auditing process, will be held till May 31. Collector H. Krishnanunni attended jamabandhi in Thalavadi Taluk office and distributed Rs 3.24 lakh worth free house site pattas to 14 beneficiaries and Rs. 34.85 lakh worth Natham patta deeds to 41 beneficiaries. Subramanian, Assistant Director, Land Survey Department, and Thalawadi Tahsildar Umamageswaran were present. 

In the presence of Erode Tahsildar Balasubramanian at the Erode Taluk Office, RDO Premalatha attended jamabandhi and approved all documents including land survey, tax documents, cultivation details.  More than 20 petitions were filed by the public regarding various demands including change of patta title and land survey.

 Jamabandhi would be held in Kodumudi, Modakkurichi, Bhavani, Erode, Nambiyur Taluks till May 26, Anthiyur till 27 , Gobi, Satyamangalam and Perundurai till 31(excluding holidays), officials said.
