Helpful Vanavil (Rainbow) forum!

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has started theVanavil (Rainbow) program in 13,210 government schools in Tamil Nadu on the theme, ``Anywhere Science and Mathematics is every thing''. A fund of Rs.25 crore has been earmarked for this project. 25 lakh students will be benefitted.

This program will help students of 6th to 8th standard to develop the habit of questioning and investigating anything in the Socrates style of why and how. The aim of this program is to instill interest in science and mathematics, to bring out the inherent creativity, to develop an innovative attitude, and to learn scientific language in their own language.

As many as 710 facilitators have been selected across Tamil Nadu for this program and they will act as mobile science and mathematics experimenters. Also, they will bring equipment for simple science experiments for the students.

The examiners from every government school will make arrangements for the tests and the teachers will conduct the tests and demonstrate them to the students. Also, arrangements have been made for teachers to have online (Telegram) discussions with science and mathematics experts. Through this, students can increase their scientific and mathematical knowledge.

About this project.Students need not fear science and mathematics. Science and mathematics are contained in the human brain. Minister of School Education AnbilMahesPoyyamozhi has said that Vanavil Forum will be a guide to bring them out.
