About 70% of the road works are completed and new road works are started.

Underground drainage project

In a short span of time, Rs 223 crore was allocated to relay 121 kilometers of road.”Pointing out that the road work between Idayarpalayam and Thadagam roads was half completed, he said that instructions were given to expedite the remaining work.“Metro works would also commence at the earliest.

The Chief Minister, who is concerned about the public, has been implementing several welfare and developmental projects. Only those roads that are aged above five years are in bad shape.  It looks like the previous government has not given importance  to road works.

Also those roads that were dug to carry out underground drainage project, are also not re-laid,” he said. When asked about the integrated bus stand at Vellalore, he said that the work would be carried out along with other developmental projects. Corporation mayor Kalpana Anandkumar, commissioner Pratap and other officials were present at the event.
