The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a full-time curfew every Sunday from 10 pm on Saturday to 4 am and night curfew on all days to control the spread of corona. Accordingly, night curfew is being observed from 10 pm to 4 am.
But, as usual, Amma restaurants were allowed to function. It was informed that food would be provided only in parcels.
So, Amma Restaurants were open as usual this morning at 11 places in Erode town and as per the instruction of the government, food were given in parcels only. People, who stay alone and work in local units, came to buy food.
They were not allowed inside restaurants.
The restaurant staff stood in the doorway and bought food in parcels. So, the unavagams were more crowded than usual today.
Similarly, other restaurants were allowed to serve food in parcels only for a limited time efrom 6 am to 10 am, 12 noon to 3 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
But, most restaurants did not open today due to the full curfew. Only a few restaurants were open in the district.The food was served only in parcels.
