Congress minority wing has demanded opening of additional reservation counters at the Erode railway station.
In his petition, the wing vice president and former member of the Southern Railway Advisory Committee KN Basha said that though three counters were at the station, only two counters were functioning for the past few months.
It has resulted in passengers have to wait a long time to book tickets.
Unfortunately, in the last few days, it has been announced that tickets can only be booked at one of the two counting counters as one is reserved for ATM card holders to promote digital payment.
So, passengers who come with cash have to wait for many hours in one counter to book ticket.
He pleaded to open additional counters in the station.
