Three phase power supply, given from April 1 to farm pumpsets, was stopped once the Assembly poll was over, rued TN farmers association for self reliance state president KV Ponnayian.
He said that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has announced that all agricultural power connections will have uninterrupted 24-hour power supply from April 1. Accordingly, from April 1 to April 6, the election day, uninterrupted three-phase electricity was provided to agricultural power connections 24 hours a day.
On the next day of election, 3 phase supply was stopped and 2 phase supply was started as before.
Farmers are very disappointed that they were given uninterrupted three-phase power for only 6 days to get votes from them. It is highly reprehensible that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has deceived the farmers, he rued.
