150th Year celebrations of CSI All Souls’ Church begins

The CSI, All Souls’ Church, is celebrating its 150th year from today. To mark the commencement of the celebrations, which will go on till January 2022, 150 balloons and doves were released.

150 plant saplings were also distributed on the occasion. This was followed by a treasure hunt event.

Speaking on the occasion Rev. Charles Samraj, Chairman of the Church, said that a series of events have been planned as part of the celebrations.

He said that it was a moment of pride for everyone associated with the church and looked forward to witnessing the variety of events that have been planned. He congratulated all the congregation members on the occasion.

The logo of the 150 year celebrations was released on the occasion by Rev. Charles Samraj and received by Dr.Fenn, Administrative Secretary of the church.

The events are being organized by the Administrative Committee members of the CSI All Souls’ Church.

A variety of events have been planned as part of the celebrations, which will go on till January 2022.

Sports and games events for Youth (age limit above 18 and below 35) will be held on 20th March, while for children (age 3 to below 18) will be held on April 24th, 2021.

150 workers will be felicitated as part of Workers Day on May1st, 2021. This will be followed by Mother’s and Father’s Day celebration on 9th May and 20th June, 2021, respectively.

A 4 in a team Car Rally, as part of a treasure hunt event will be conducted on 24th July, 2021. A walkathon (5kms) will be held on 21st August 2021. A carnival is planned to be held on 5th September, 2021.

An inter church cultural programme, with singing, dance and elocution events will be held on 23th, October, 2021.

The following month, i.e., November 20th, 2021 will see a musical evening, the proceeds of which will go towards supporting the studies of 150 IAS aspirants.

Senior Citizens celebration is scheduled to be held on 27th November, 2021.
Christmas breakfast, with stalls will be held on 19th December, 2021.

The grand finale, featuring events including, photography exhibition, camp fire, cake cutting and distribution of gift hampers will be held on January 26th, 2022.

Earlier Dr.Fenn delivered the welcome address. Dr. Eva Ravi Kumar proposed the vote of thanks on the occasion.
