TNRDOA seeks 3 new blocks in Erode district

TN Rural Development Officials Association at its meeting held here on Sunday demanded creation of 3 new panchayat unions with its headquarters at Kadambur, Kavundapadi and Arachalur by bifurcating the big panchayat unions in the area.

Addressing the union’s district conference, the union state vice president Baskar Babu also demanded creation of 5 village panchayats by segregating the existing Bargur Hill panchayat, supply of Android phones to all panchayat secretaries and creation of separate service rules for them.

Other demands are: removal of pay anomaly of BDOs, filling up of joint/assistant director posts through promotions, incentives for the sanitary workers working during covid 19 period, solarium for those who died due to corona and job opportunity to a person of their families, pay of Rs 3600 for sanitary workers in the panchayats as assured by CM last year in the Assembly, pay hike and regularization of all computer operators in the block offices, time scale for all working under the MGNREGS, regularization of all deputy BDOs, withdrawal of all chargesheets given to staff who joined Jactto-Geo stir last year, adequate time to implement Jal Jeevan Mission works, laptops to all BDOs. Union functionaries P Ravichandran, Sivasankar, Mahesh and Thulasimani spoke.
