RB (Reckitt Benckiser) has partnered with United Way Chennai (UWC), to disinfect government hospitals in Tamilnadu using 60,000 litres of Lizol and Harpicand help break the chain of this fast-spreading infection.
UWC, a not-for-profit organization, is a part of the social movement called United Way Worldwide (UWW). UWW operates in over 46 countries globally and across 7 states in India. Commenting on this initiative, Narasimhan Eswar, Senior Vice President, RB Hygiene, South Asia and Meenakshi Ramesh, Executive Director, United Way Chennai, said, “United Way Chennai, as the execution partner for RB, will help provide hygiene and sanitation in 6 government hospitals and 10 Covid Health Centres in Tamil Nadu.
The UWC team will be reaching out to these hospitals and health centres to deliver the supplies.” Dr J Radhakrishnan, IAS Officer and Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare/Commissioner of Revenue Administration & State Relief Commissioner, Government of Tamil Nadu said, “We appreciate the gesture by Reckitt Benckiser (India) Private Ltd. to contribute for the common good of communities by joining hands with the Government of Tamil Nadu in the fight against Covid 19 and accept with thanks the donation of Lizol & Harpic to help sanitize Government Hospitals and other facilities.”
