The IT, Ilaignar, Ilampengal, Women and Students Wings of the party should propagate various achievements of the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami among people in order to ensure massive victory for the party in the 2021 assembly poll, advised Environment Minister KC Karupanan.
In a consultation meeting with the cadres of the wing at Bhavani on Sunday, he said that the present rule has done lot of achievements like announcing Tanjore delta as a protected agriculture zone, giving Rs 1000 to all ration card holders during Pongal, old age pensions to all eligible persons, house site pattas and green houses to all needy, luring FDI and more investment to create more industries in the state to prove job opportunities of youth, brought 11 medical colleges within a year and opened many veterinary, law, arts and science colleges in the state to improve the literacy rate.
Above all, he fructified 60 year old dream of the people of the Kong region by sanctioning Rs 1650 crore to carry out the Athikadavu-Avinasi water project to improve the ground water level in the parched areas of the Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore districts, allotted over Rs 1100 crore for kudimaramathu scheme, sanctioned 7 check dams across Bhavani river and allotted more fund for repairing and replacing the old weirs, shutters in the irrigation canals, introduced many new irrigation projects etc.
