The 53rd Engineer’s Day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s great Engineer Sir. M. Visveswaraya at the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. R. Ramamurthy, President of CODISSIA attended as chief guest and Dr. K.P. Ramasamy, Chairman of the KPR Group of Institutions presided over the function. Mani Narayan CEO, Cutting Systems India Private Ltd. and Sushant Patnaik , CEO, Lakshmi Ring Travellers Private Ltd, Coimbatore also spoke.
This year, fahrentizer, the automatic employee ID card scan and human body temperature detector with automatic sanitizer dispenser, a product, designed by the mechanical engineering final year students Karthik Vishal, Kishore Kumar and Kavinesh under the guidance of B.K.Saravanan, faculty won I prize.
The Social Primer, created by the Computer Science Ragul, students Nishanth, Abishek Velavan. Moulik and Chandru, guided by J. Rajesekaran the faculty, won II prize and the automative sanitizer for vehicles created by M. Manikandan faculty of ECE won III prize. A Special Prize was awarded to the final year students of Civil Engineering S. Sarvanakumar, Paranidharan, Sakthivel, Sridhar, Sanjay Kumar, Kishore, Arun Prabhu who devised a Mobile Bio Toilet under the guidance of faculty members Kanmani and Meenakshi.

The Chairperson Mr. Ramamurthy, President of CODISSIA in his special address invited the young engineers of the college to come out with their novel and innovative products which will be supported by CODISSIA.
