Central award for St.Anthony’s Boys’ High School

COIMBATORE,
Central Government has awarded the Certificate of Merit for St. Anthony’s Boys’ High School for encouraging NCC (National Cadet Corps) Cadets.
St. Anthony’s Boys’ High School in Puliyakulam, Coimbatore is offering physical training to NCC cadets online in order to implement the Central Government’s “Fit India Freedom Run” program.

The 74th Independence Day was celebrated across the country on the August 15th. The 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi will be celebrated on October 2.

In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the ‘Fit India’ freedom flow movement for college and university students to develop physical fitness and follow exercise and diet.
A circular was sent on behalf of the government to colleges and universities asking all college students to take the pledge.

This has led to corona curfews affecting the health of students who are paralyzed at home. NCC came forward to give various physical activity exercises like yoga, cycling, walking, breathing exercises skipping, jogging as if they were at home to prevent.

Based on this 2 TN BTY NCC Commanding Officer Lt Col Girishparthan and, Mr. Albert Alexander, Ncc Officer of St. Anthony’s High School, Puliyakulam, Coimbatore, formed a WhatsApp group for Ncc cadets and to engage students to do healthy exercises and encourage them.
They regularly send their trainings in groups as well. The monitoring officer trains students online also.
