Two Coimbatore Cricketers are set to fly to UAE with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team as net bowlers for the scheduled IPL season at United Arab Emirates.
M Abhinav, a leggie and J Kousik, medium-pacer are the two players from the city to travel along with CSK Squad as net bowlers to help the team in their training session.
As many as 8 players from the state were selected to travel with the team and they had undergone COVID 19 test last week and started their training from August 15 at Chepauk.
Players are set to leave on 21st August from Chennai and will train with CSK during the 3 week pre season camp in Dubai.
The decision of taking state Cricketers as net bowlers for a long tournament in UAE may prove to be a great opportunity for budding Cricketers to bowl to big players like Dhoni and Suresh Raina in the training sessions.
M Abhinav asserts “This is a big opportunity for a young cricketer like me to expose my skills and to learn from international Cricketers as well. I have been bowling in nets for CSK for last two season and now travelling with the team to UAE is an excitement since there are lots of chances to learn and impress with my bowling skills.
Moreover being close to Dhoni at the time of retirement is quite emotional and I would say this opportunity is a blessing in disguise to me.”.
J Kousik says “I would say this is a super opportunity for me to learn things from international players.
In this camp, we will get a chance to bowl to big cricketers and this would personally help me to prepare myself for Ranji Trophy matches. Interacting with experienced bowlers would help us to learn how to bowl in death overs in the shorter format of the game and expecting to learn many things from international cricketers during this Camp.”
Tamil Nadu cricketers to restart their training at Chepauk after the conclusion of CSK camp on August 20.
This decision of taking players to UAE as net bowlers would help Tamil Nadu cricketers to gain more knowledge about the game.
